Latrobe Community Health Service

Latrobe Community Health Service provides a range of alcohol and other drug programs across Gippsland.

Available support includes:

• Face-to-face, online and telephone counselling

• Individual care and recovery planning

• Support for families

• Home-based withdrawal support

• Assistance arranging hospital withdrawal

• Relapse prevention

• Ongoing recovery support

• Group programs

• A supported recovery program

• A free six-week day rehabilitation program in Moe

• Needle and syringe services in Churchill and other Latrobe Valley locations

• Connections with financial and other community support

Some eligibility requirements apply. Adults will generally need to complete intake through ACSO before entering treatment.

DirectLine provides free and confidential alcohol and other drug counselling, information and referrals throughout Victoria.

Support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for:

• People concerned about their own alcohol or drug use

• Family members, friends and carers

• People seeking treatment or local support

• Anyone who wants information before deciding what to do

Alcohol and Drug Intake for Adults in Gippsland

The Australian Community Support Organisation, known as ACSO, provides the main intake and assessment pathway for adults seeking alcohol and other drug treatment in Gippsland.

An intake worker can discuss what is happening, assess your needs and connect you with suitable local services.

This may include referrals to Latrobe Community Health Service.

headspace Morwell provides free support for young people aged 12 to 25, including help with alcohol and other drug concerns.

Young people, family members and friends can contact headspace directly. A referral is not required to make initial contact.
