Night Budget Cooking is a relaxed, hands-on class focused on building real cooking skills rather than simply teaching you how to follow a recipe.
Each class has a different focus, such as breads, sauces, soups and other everyday cooking techniques. The aim is to help you understand how and why different cooking methods work, so you can confidently adapt what you learn to the ingredients you already have at home.
When you arrive, the ingredients and equipment for the night will be ready in the kitchen and the group will work through a different cooking skill or technique.
Each class is different, but you can expect to:
Learn practical food preparation and cooking skills
Explore a different cooking focus each week
Learn how different preparation and cooking methods can completely change a dish
Build skills that can be adapted to whatever ingredients you have available
Learn ways to make simple and affordable ingredients work harder
Cook alongside Callum, William and the rest of the group
Gain confidence experimenting in the kitchen rather than relying entirely on recipes
Go home with a meal you've prepared at every class
The focus is on skills you can keep using long after the class has finished.
All ingredients and cooking equipment are provided.
Just wear comfortable clothing suitable for cooking and come ready to get involved.
Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary requirements when enrolling.
Classes run for 10 sessions each term.
