Churchill Neighbourhood Centre hosts supported playgroups in partnership with Anglicare Victoria and VACCA.
Playgroups provide young children with opportunities to play, explore and learn while parents and carers can meet other families, share experiences and access support.
These are supported family programs, not drop-off childcare. A parent or carer stays with their child throughout the session.
Sessions may include:
Play and learning activities
Songs and stories
Activities parents and children can enjoy together
Ideas for supporting development and learning at home
Opportunities to meet other local families
Support and encouragement from experienced facilitators
The group incorporates strategies from Anglicare's Smalltalk program.
