Our Purpose
Our Purpose
People come to the Centre for all sorts of reasons. It might be a class, help with food or paperwork, somewhere to volunteer, or a cuppa and a bit of company.
We are an independent, community-led, not-for-profit registered charity serving Churchill and District. Our small staff team works alongside volunteers, tutors, students on placement and local partners. People bring their own skills and ideas, help each other out and get involved in making things happen.
Alongside our practical support services, we run classes and social activities and support community projects including Churchill Men's Shed, the Churchill Community Garden and Pitta Patta Driving Academy.

How the Centre is supported
We are not a council or government-run service. We work with those organisations, along with local businesses and community groups, while remaining independent and apolitical.
Grants, donations, fundraising and income from our activities help pay for the people, equipment and everyday running costs that make our work possible. This support helps us keep many activities free or affordable.
Volunteering, joining an activity, donating or helping with a fundraiser all contribute to keeping the Centre going. All income goes back into our charitable work.
