About

The Churchill Community Garden is a free and welcoming place where people can take part in practical gardening, connect with others and help grow fresh produce for the community.

The garden is open daily from 10am to 3pm. Accessible features include raised garden beds and vertical planters, providing different ways for people to participate.

Whether you would like to help in the garden, learn practical gardening skills, share your knowledge or simply spend time outdoors with others, you are welcome.

What to expect

There is no cost to take part, and the Churchill Neighbourhood Centre provides the tools, seeds and gardening materials needed.

When you visit, you can:

Take part in hands-on gardening: Help plant, maintain and harvest fresh produce for the community.
Learn practical skills: Build your knowledge of gardening, horticulture and sustainable growing practices.
Connect with others: Meet people, work alongside others and enjoy being part of a welcoming community environment.
Share your knowledge: Exchange gardening ideas, practical tips and experience with other participants.

What to bring

We provide the gardening tools and materials you will need.

Please bring:

Closed shoes or boots suitable for working in the garden.
Sun protection, including a wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen.
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that you do not mind getting a little dirty
