At the Churchill Neighbourhood Centre
The course material is done from home in your own time with the course assessment on-site
Our First Aid courses at the Churchill Neighbourhood Centre provide essential, life-saving skills for the community. Whether you are renewing your CPR certification or completing your full Provide First Aid training for the workplace, our comprehensive classes ensure you leave feeling confident and prepared to respond to emergencies.
Please note that most of the course theory is completed online, and you are only required to attend onsite for the practical assessment of your relevant course.
During this face-to-face session, you will participate in interactive scenarios and hands-on assessments. You will practice critical skills such as performing CPR on training manikins, managing casualties, and correctly applying bandages in a supportive environment.
Important Physical Requirement: To pass the first aid assessment, you must be physically able to get down on your knees on the ground and perform continuous CPR for 2 minutes. We do provide yoga mats to make this easier and more comfortable
We supply all the necessary training materials and equipment for your on-site assessment (including the yoga mats), so you don't need to bring anything specific for the exercises. Just make sure you are wearing comfortable clothing and closed shoes, as you will be participating in physical activities on the floor. You may also want to bring a water bottle, a pen, and a notepad.
